Filter pockets

Filter pockets are sewn or produced using ultra-sonic welding. They are used to filter solids out of gaseous media. KSL is one of the leading suppliers of automatic filter pocket production systems and of downstream production processes worldwide. Filter pockets with conical or constant stitch loosening, with straight or waisted contours and in special forms in the area of outer seams are produced with our systems. Every step in the process is fully automatic: feeding, sewing (stitch loosening), sealing the seam flow on the top and bottom of the material, closing the side and bottom seams through to stacking finished filter pockets. Fully automatic ultra-sonic welding is used on our systems to produce filter pockets with tube spacers (diamond spacers), using a TOP SPACE method or in a standard design (welding two layers of material). The weld seam can be freely programmed to position it in the direction of air flow. Customers can thus respond to the required flow behaviour in each case. Our filter pocket sewing units are used by numerous renowned producers, including General Filter, Mittet, GEA Delbag, Böcker, Scandfilter, Reesema, Econom Filter, Ekofilter and Interfil.
