Steering wheels
Safety aspects and the workmanship and aesthetics of the material are important when producing leather steering wheels. Our customers use our systems to produce visually and technically sophisticated steering wheels for leading automobile brands. Complex shapes can also be produced and steering wheel heating units, airbags and control elements are integrated into the steering wheels. A 360° rotating stitching head, which is consistently tangentially aligned along the run of the seam during the sewing process, ensures an excellent stitch pattern. Before the leather is placed around the steering wheel, a seam is made at a defined distance from the edge. The leather is then placed around the plastic and is manually fastened to the plastic with cross-stitching. Our method of sewing guarantees that the leather fits tightly.
