Tape laying (3D)

In the grain direction, the fibres of carbon rovings are extremely strong and rigid. This is why rovings are laid along the main load paths. Our robot laying heads also lay roving tapes onto curved surfaces. 3D components can thus be produced without waste and according to the load. Slit tapes, dry tows, spreaded tows and prepregs are used.
